International Summer Academy 2021

International exchange of experience and top-class advanced training for hearing aid professionals based on the respected German standards in English language: From 25th to the 29^th of October 2021, the afh once again organized the renowned “International Summer Academy“ (ISA). 20 participants from 10 different countries joined the ISA for training and to share knowledge. The international event for continued education was moved from the summer to the fall.

Experienced lecturers from the Academy of Hearing Acoustics offered practical training with the latest hearing systems of all manufacturers. With state-of-the-art equipment, the Campus Hearing Acoustics, the world’s biggest center of competence and training, provides the best possible environment. Due to its high quality, the Academy of Hearing Acoustics ISA course in Lübeck has developed into an integral part of the Swiss International Hearing Academy (SIHA) global training and education program for aspiring Hearing Care Professionals of Sonova Group. This year SIHA participants from Bulgaria, Greece, Kosovo, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Jordan, Iraq and Syria took part in the afh-ISA basic course “Hearing Aid Fitting” in Lübeck with preparatory e-learning assignment. They completed the one-week class in Germany with a certificate after passing an exam.

In between and after the classes, there was of course also time for an informal exchange and professional networking. The Academy of Hearing Acoustics has become an acknowledged meeting point of international experts. Over the last twelve years, guests from over 30 nations have joined the ISA in Lübeck, among them audiologists and ENT specialists.
