From the initial vocational training to the master craftsman certificate and beyond: The Campus Hearing Acoustics is the central location for training, advanced and continued education in the field of hearing acoustics in Germany. As part of an internationally unique cooperation between the Federal Vocational School for Hearing Aid Professionals (LBS) and the Academy of Hearing Acoustics (afh), hearing aid professionals from all over Germany receive practical and theoretical training on this campus. The intermediate, journeymen as well as Master craftsmen courses and exams take place on campus.
As part of the advanced and further education, the preparation for the master craftsman and the examinations take place at the Campus. To promote life-long learning, the BI Hörakustik Servicegesellschaft offers seminars and workshops.
On the 40,000 sqm Campus Hearing Acoustic, 52 class and seminar rooms with multi-media equipment are available. 56 measuring and fitting rooms, some of them multiple measuring systems, 10 labs for audiometry, 6 labs for otoplastic and 6 workshops for service and maintenance works offer ample space and first-class equipment for practice-oriented teaching and learning.
Seven boarding houses with more 1,000 beds for the apprentices, the campus canteen offers full and half board.

The Academy of Hearing Acoustics
The Academy of Hearing Acoustics is a legally dependent subsidiary of the Federal Guild of Hearing Acoustics. It is responsible for buildings and infrastructure on the Campus Hearing Acoustics and operates boarding houses and the canteen.
The Academy of Hearing Acoustics is the central education institution for hearing acoustics and organizes the industry-wide vocational training of all hearing acoustic apprentices on behalf of all craft chambers. The Master Craftsman courses of study (full or part-time) prepare for all four parts of master craftsman examination.
As the center of competence, the Academy of Hearing Acoustics closely follows technological, political and social developments and, with the seminars offered, supports the concept of life-long learning. It is not only active in Germany, but also internationally, to ensure the high standards of master craftsmanship and up-to date hearing aid supply of all concerned.

The Campus Hearing Acoustics is located in Lübeck’s university district and in direct vicinity and cooperates closely with the German Institute for Hearing-aids, the Technical University Lübeck, the Lübeck University and the university hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck.
In cooperation with our university partners, the Campus Hearing Acoustic offers a Bachelor course of study „B.Sc. Hearing Acoustics“, after successful completion of the journeyman examination. With a master craftsman certificate or professional experience as a journeyman, this course of study can be pursued even without the Abitur or another university-entrance level exam.
If you want to continue your studies after the Bachelor degree, a Master course of study „M.Sc. Hearing Acoustic and audiological Technology “, is an option, which will also qualify you for a career in science.
Scientific and clinic research at the German Institute for Hearing-aids and the Hearing and implant center of the university hospital, give valuable impulses for development of training and advanced qualification offers.
