From August 14 to 18, 2023, the Campus Hearing Acoustics has once again turned to an international meeting point: Guests from various countries joined the \u201eInternational Summer Academy\u201c (ISA) for a training at the Academy of Hearing Acoustics (afh). Participants attended a basis course in English, which provides information and practical skills of the principles of hearing system supply in accordance with the high German standards. The dates for next year\u2019s ISA are already set. Registrations and optional reservations can be made at international@afh-luebeck.de<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven international hearing health experts from France, Greece, Serbia and Lebanon took part in this year\u2019s English basic course at the afh. This course is part of the Sonova Group\u2018s worldwide Swiss International Hearing Academy training and continued education program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants of the one-week training course at the afh received a theoretical and practical introduction to all relevant topics, e.g. audiometry, fitting process, manufacturing of ear molds, how to handle service and repair requests and available accessories. The training with state-of-the-art technology and test persons ensured maximum practical relevance. Moreover, there was also time for an international exchange of experience and knowledge: During a welcome dinner, participants had the opportunity to get to know each other. In joint breaks after and between classes, there was ample opportunity for informal networking. At the end, all participants completed the afh basic course with a certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its highly qualified lecturers and the state-of-the-art equipment, the Campus Hearing Acoustics offers the best conditions for the continued education of hearing professionals worldwide. For this reason, basic and advanced classes for participants from all over the world were organized at the afh in cooperation with SIHA for many years now. In March this year, a pediatric acoustics course for international participants<\/a> was held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save the Date: Dates for ISA 2024 have already been set. The next basic course will take place from August 19 to 23, 2024. The next advanced classes are scheduled right afterwards from August 26 to 30, 2024. Vom 14. bis 18.
