The industry-wide vocational training (\u00dcLU) includes topics, which are only covered partly or not intensively enough in most of training companies, and also provides information on new techniques. It is part of the in-company vocational training. In the hearing acoustic craft, the industry-wide vocational training is carried out by the Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Professionals<\/a> (corporation of public law) and the Academy of Hearing Acoustics<\/strong> in L\u00fcbeck. The training is based on the regulations recognized by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.<\/p>\n

The industry-wide professional training ensures, that all apprentices in this craft refer to the same educational base. The content is derived from the training regulations, the curriculum and the regulations on the industry-wide training. Hence, also the content of the industry-wide vocational training was adapted to the new training concepts.<\/p>\n

Full and part time lecturers, all experienced Master Craftsmen, as well as continuous investments in the modernization of the training workshops add to the high quality of the apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Costs <\/h3><\/div>

The industry-wide vocational training is included in the in-company professional training. This means that the individual businesses have transferred part of their training obligation to the Academy. The reasoning behind this is, that the trade of hearing-aid professionals wants to ensure the highest standard of vocational training for all apprentices, which involves special skills and sophisticated equipment, which may not be available in all training companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>

This means that the costs for the industry-wide vocational training will have to be covered by the relevant training company, unless agreed otherwise. This involves the course fees, the travelling expenses as well as the costs for room and board. The training company may, however, charge a percentage of the costs for the meals to the apprentice as \u201ehousehold saving\u201c.<\/p>\n

The industry-wide training courses are financially supported by the responsible Ministry, respectively the various ministries of the Federal States with varying amounts. The amount of funds is shown separately in the notification of charges.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Funding from the Bund, the Federal States and the European Social Fund <\/h3><\/div>

The industry-wide vocational training is financed with funds from the craft and additional funds from the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate. Furthermore, there is financial support available for participants from Berlin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, North-Rhine Westphalia, Bavaria, Schleswig-Holstein, Hesse, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate (currently without Rhine Hesse), from the European Social Fund Plus ESF+ and financial means from the Federal States through the chambers of crafts. For the following federal states, this only applies to small and medium-sized businesses: Baden-Wurttemberg, Bremen and Lower Saxony.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The European Social Fund Plus is the most important tool of the European Union to develop human capital and improve the functioning of the labor market. It promotes equal opportunities on the labor market, supports the creation of new workplaces as well as the professional training and qualification Thus helping to fight unemployment and facilitating the professional integration of job seekers.<\/p>\n
