Live stream 2021 vocational trainer’s conference

Even in challenging times, the Hearing Acoustician craft makes vocational training possible. The annual trainer’s conference took place, only this year in a new digital format. The event was live streamed from the Campus Hearing Acoustic’s new, modern afh online studio. 200 vocational trainers have taken part in the online event, which took place on May 25 and May 27, 2021. The afh, the national vocational school as well as the journeymen/women’s exam committees informed about training content and requirements.

For years, the system-relevant hearing acoustician craft has been standing out because of a high vocational training quota of approx. 20 percent – a record number in craft trades. Also in 2021, hearing acoustician businesses have started the training of new apprentices. Ensuring the training of urgently needed young professionals, while providing them with excellent professional qualifications and thus a bright perspective for their career path, is a point of honor for us – especially in times of a pandemic.

During the annual trainer’s conference, the afh, the Federal Vocational School and the exam committees wanted to support vocational trainers to make sure their apprentices receive the best possible preparation for the final exams and their professional future. This year, too, a lot of helpful information was provided. Central element of the 2021 trainer’s conference was the presentation of three courses of the industry-wide vocational training, which all hearing acoustic apprentices take part in on the Campus Hearing Acoustic. In a second session, study director Anke Lürmann, talked about the experience made at the Federal Vocational School with their digital learning platform and expanded on her plans to continue using the digital platform to complement the regular classes. Finally, these two sessions were rounded off with reports on the overall situation on the Campus Hearing Acoustics and the journeyman and women’s exam committees.
